Krakow Summary
Krakow has been the best and the worst place I've been to. Basically nothing here makes sense and the tourist office was only interested in selling overpriced tours that they are probably getting a commission for. The main train station has construction all the way around it so everything is outta its normal whack. Also, there isn't an integrated transport system - it is a combination of public and private and still don't really know how it all works.
After a couple of days I was pretty frustrated with the place and on the verge of trying to get outta here as quickly as possible (arguing for half an hour with a ticket inspector on an overcrowded bus almost made me snap - some Polish customer said something to the inspector in the end and he just walked away). But I wasn't going to let it get to me so stuck around for an extra day and think I've got it figured out - you don't figure it out.
I've already made comments on Auschwitz and don't feel the need to rehash. However over the last couple days, it really has started to sink in and not really happy with those sorts of ideas/images running uncontrolled through my head. Almost like being out there was overwhelming and only now the brain is beginning to process it.
Otherwise, I've mainly taken several days just kicking back at the hostel as I was starting to feel a little 'travel fatigued'.
Now for the train ride and hopefully I don't get robbed.
