Mystery of the Green Door

The hostel manager gave a recommendation to a restaurant that was so good, the only way you found it was because it had a 'green' door. Let me tell you, finding an unmarked restaurant with a green door (when everything looks grey at night), is not easy. Fortunately for me, Melissa is great navigating and it was such a change to wander around a city and not be lost (my usual trick - see 'Planning to Get Lost' posts for more detail).

So we walk into the restaurant and it is a family business. The old guy was freaking out cause we didn't make a telephone reservation - at least that is what we thought it was cause none of us really knew Italian. His partner/daughter though was the sweetest, soft personality I've ever come across. The meal was great and one of us couldn't finish it. The old guy wasn't impressed and let us know - at least that is what we think his gestures meant. A great feed and fantastic company.
