Day 64 - Amsterdam

Unfortunately I couldn't overnight the trip from Berlin to Amsterdam being only 6 hours - thus valuable daylight hours wasted on a train. Thus got to Amsterdam in the afternoon, found the hostel and went for a bit of a wander around. It is interesting being in the heart of Amsterdam after seeing Venice. Being 'built on water', a high degree of similarities.

Managed to find a couple of construction sites on the edges of canals, always interesting to have a look at. It was funny in Berlin on one of the tours when we came near a construction site. The tour guide wanted to go and have a better look at it, kinda drooling. I thought I was the only one like that and he turned out to be an arc-key-ol-o-gist.

Otherwise just bikes everywhere. Kinda makes sense as would be easier to get around. After diner went out to a guide book 'must see' place at night of the 15 bridges. Such a disappointment. Like taking a string of christmas tree lights and putting them on a couple of bridges.
